CASA PORTO CULTURAL
A project carried by Brasil Sunshine, the Franco-Brazilian association founded by Dom & Danaé.
Located on the banks of the beautiful Rio de Contas, Casa Porto Cultural was born with the intention of creating a hub for culture and knowledge exchange.
The central goal of the project is to offer free access to artistic, sports and craft activities for children and adults, while building quality human relationships, sharing broader worldviews and celebrating Brazilian culture.
FOUNDERS
Danaé
Dancer, acrobat, singer, composer and administrator, Danaé travelled the world to dance traditional dances from various countries, with the desire to engage with international cultures through art. French by birth and Brazilian at heart, she lived 10 years in Rio de Janeiro, an inspiring city that revealed her gift for composing and singing.
Dom
Musician, multi-instrumentalist, music producer, composer and singer. Dom is a carioca rooted in Brazilian music, which he performs in a contemporary way, incorporating different influences with the subtlety of preserving the essence of traditional genres. His original compositions and irresistible smile charm audiences wherever he goes, captivating international crowds.
PEDRA DO SABIÁ
Pedra do Sabiá is located deep in the Mata Atlântica, on the banks of the Rio de Contas, 18 km from Itacaré in southern Bahia. It is an agroforestry farm producing organic cocoa, a Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN), home to exceptional biodiversity.

DONATIONS
Currently, the CASA PORTO CULTURAL headquarters needs minor renovations and adjustments, as well as basic materials for the kitchen, library, reading room, classroom, bathroom and recreation area, along with essential materials for all planned activities.
All fundamental costs for launching the project are being raised through our own initiative. All individuals and organisations interested in contributing financially to the project are welcome.
During its first five years, CASA PORTO CULTURAL will rely exclusively on private donations to begin its activities. After this setup phase, the project will be eligible to apply for cultural funding at municipal, state or federal levels.
