Les Afrolandais
The band
Kyekyeku and DOM are two musicians, singers, composers and music producers, united by their shared passion for music that transcends borders.
Kyekyeku, originally from Accra, Ghana, is one of the ambassadors of the new wave of Highlife, Afrobeat and Afrofunk. Through his compositions, he fuses traditional Ghanaian rhythms with modern sounds, creating a musical world that is both dynamic and authentic.
DOM, a "carioca" from Rio de Janeiro, is a tireless explorer of Brazil's musical richness. He dives into the multiple roots of Brazilian culture, where African, indigenous and European influences intertwine. His compositions bear witness to the complexity and beauty of this meeting of cultures, through harmonies and rhythms that pay tribute to Brazil's diversity.
Together, under the name Les Afrolandais, they offer a unique concert — a sonic journey fusing Africa and Brazil. Their musical alchemy creates a bridge between these two joyful and vibrant worlds, offering audiences an enchanting, energy-filled experience where Afrobeat meets Samba, and Afrofunk dialogues with the deepest Brazilian rhythms.
An Afrolandais concert is far more than just a concert. It is a celebration of unity through music, a call to dance, joy and the discovery of two fascinating cultures.
