Sambastian - Roda de Samba, traditional Brazilian music
Traditional Samba

This is a very festive and popular event during which several musicians gather around a table to play, while the audience around them dances, sings and celebrates. Young and old are invited. Come with your family and bring your friends!!!

Sambastian Band

The Sambastian band was born from the meeting of Basque and Brazilian musicians, united by their passion for Samba. The band is composed of Daniel Bordonaba on pandeiro, Dom Oliveira on cavaquinho and mandolin, Hugo Silveira on guitar, Juan Luis Anula on percussion and Ramon Murcia on flute and percussion.

In Sambastian, the percussion blends with the exquisite melodies of the mandolin, flute, guitar and voices, creating a very interesting, typically Brazilian sonic ensemble.

At their concerts, the musicians sit around a table, following the centuries-old tradition of this cultural gathering. The closeness between audience and artists creates a magical atmosphere where everyone can dance and sing.

Album "PaΓs Brasco"

In their debut album, Sambastian proposes a connection between Brazil and the Basque Country. The album is composed of original songs created by the members themselves, plus a song in Basque composed by URKO (one of the great Basque composers) in the 1970s, entitled "Vinicius Lagun". Sambastian's version transforms this song into a modern, rhythmically rich samba that weaves an unprecedented link between Brazilian music and the Basque language.

On the cover of the album "PaΓs Brasco", arrows represent Saint Sebastian and establish a connection with Afro-Brazilian religious syncretism. Saint Sebastian is OxΓ³ssi, the orixΓ‘ of forests and jungles. Musically, the album experiments with a fusion of sounds that unites the energy of African roots with beautiful and refined melodies and harmonies.
