CULTURAL MEDIATION ACTIVITIES
Arts Education Dom & Danaé, a Franco-Brazilian duo — artists passionate about sonic and cultural diversity, united by the same creative energy.
As composers, songwriters and performers, they take children on a journey into the pleasure of musical composition, tackling themes that matter to children: preserving nature, kindness, cultural exchange — all through a wealth of Brazilian rhythms.
They offer an immersive experience where schoolchildren come together through music, in a playful and enriching atmosphere.
Jules Ferry School — A message of solidarity and sharing
This workshop, promoted by the Landes association Chantons sous les pins at Jules Ferry School in Tartas (40400), aimed to raise pupils' awareness of the essential values of kindness, empathy and inclusion through an artistic and collective project.
In addition to the musical composition created by Dom & Danaé, a video was produced to accompany the song. This video features the children in a creative and empowering setting, illustrating the importance of empathy, mutual support and inclusion in our society.
Beyond artistic creation, this workshop aims to convey a message of solidarity and sharing, encouraging young people to develop a kind and open attitude towards others.
This song and video are a testament to the positive impact of these values on the children's personal and collective development.
Communauté de Communes Côtes Landes Nature — Ecology in song
As part of an educational and artistic project coordinated by library staff, Brasil Sunshine, in collaboration with the Dom & Danaé duo, invited Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils from schools in the Côte Landes Nature community of communes to take part in creating songs on the theme of forests and waterways.
This project brought together 9 classes from across the community, allowing each group to explore and highlight the natural riches of their local environment while developing their musical creativity. The artists guided the children through songwriting and audio recording, in a participatory and immersive approach.
To strengthen the link between music and culture, each song was composed using a typical Brazilian rhythm, bringing a unique and dynamic touch to the children's musical creations.
